Delete your HostAnywhere account
Last updated: April 21, 2026
HostAnywhere lets you delete your account and all associated data at any time. Deletion is self-service; you do not need to contact support. This page describes every way to trigger a deletion, what data is removed, and what (if anything) is retained.
How to delete your account
From the web dashboard
- Sign in at hostanywhere.io/dashboard.
- Open the profile menu (top right) and choose Settings.
- Scroll to the Danger zone section.
- Click Delete account and confirm.
From the Android app
- Open HostAnywhere on your Android device.
- Tap the menu icon and choose Settings.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
From the iOS app
- Open HostAnywhere on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap the profile tab, then Settings.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
By email (if you can't sign in)
If you've lost access to the account (missing OAuth login, lost email inbox, etc.), email [email protected] from the address you originally signed up with. We'll verify ownership and delete the account within 7 business days.
What is deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is removed immediately and permanently:
| Data | Status after deletion |
|---|---|
| Email address | Deleted |
| Account profile (display name, OAuth identifiers) | Deleted |
| Registered devices (device names, WireGuard public keys, last-seen timestamps) | Deleted |
| Mesh peer records (assigned mesh IPs, public IP/port history) | Deleted |
| Public service (tunnel) subdomains and configurations | Deleted |
| Team / network memberships you own | Deleted along with networks you created |
| Active WireGuard sessions | Terminated immediately; keys invalidated |
| Session tokens (JWTs) | Revoked |
What is retained
A small amount of information may be retained for specific, limited purposes:
- Payment records (if you ever had a paid plan): retained by our payment processor (Stripe) as required by tax and anti-fraud law. We don't have access to full card details; Stripe holds billing records for the period required by applicable financial regulations, typically 7 years.
- Anonymous aggregate usage metrics (total traffic volume, peer count histograms) that were de-identified before storage. These do not contain any identifier tied to you and are not deleted because they are no longer personal.
- Server logs and backups: may contain your IP address or email in rolling access logs for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention, after which they are overwritten.
